I am an upset parent. I was told today that I'm not allowed to walk my impaired daughter to the front door. It's my right as a parent to walk her to the door. What harm am I causing by walking her? Who am I affecting by doing this? Have I caused some damage to school property? No I have not. I am only doing what my right is and that is walking my daughter to the door. Nothing more nothing less. Plus my daughter was hit 2 times first by a boy then by a girl and I was not informed of this until my 4 year old daughter told me and when I told the teacher she said the kids are just getting to know each other. Then my daughter hit those kids and I get a letter about it!? Very unpleasant situation and hoping for the best.

Our Lil' Armstrong Astros truly Soars! The students have a bright future there. School starts on Monday and this is the last weekend of the Summer Vacation and let me tell you. My daughter is so excited to go back to school and I'm excited for her. She has a speech pathologist that has been working with her and I have seen tremendous amount of educational and social growth in my daughter due to this program available at the school. My daughter's kindergarten teacher last year was Mrs. Williams and she was great! The counselor is big on anti-bullying and she is very informative. Nice lady indeed. Armstrong has embraced her since her Pre-K year and she'll be going to the 1st grade this year. I love it. The staff is awesome. The receptionist is very professional and follows the rules to the T, in which I can appreciate because I can be sure that my child, along with her fellow classmates and the rest of the school will be safe. I believe the faculty truly cares about every student at the school. I'm grateful for their hard work. THANK YOU, ARMSTRONG ELEMENTARY FAMILY!

I am not happy with this school at all. They dont allow you to interact with your child while in school unless you're picking them up and the teachers are really bad about contacting you for anything. My children came from another CISD and we miss it dearly. I feel as though I punish my kids by sending them to Armstrong and not to mention my kids dislike it as well. My daughter also has to deal with bullying and when I told her to tell the teacher she said the teacher told her to stop tattling. I'm beyond frustrated with this school.

This school has change since the last principal in 2008, the bullying intake is high my son and daughter has been pick on, hit, spit on and jumped. My daughter is only in the 2nd grade and my son is in the 4th. I ve reported this to the teacher, counselor, asst. principal, principal, and the board. No action was taken on the bulling part but on my daughter for self-defending herself. I was in tears when my baby said she no longer wants to go to school due to the high bulling and I don t blame her!!!! (As of now, I m trying to moved my children out of that school as soon as possible) I hope and pray that no other child has to go through what my two went through. Jocelyn

My son was here for Kindergarten before we moved into another district. How we miss this school! His teacher was wonderful, and he learned more than I would have ever expected. The principal and other staff were also wonderful and worked together. I was very, very happy with Armstrong and would readily recommend it to any other parent.

My two kids transferred in from another Texas District for the 2006-2007 school year. I was very unhappy to hear that the school did not offer before school nor after school tutoring for the kids. Not all kids learn at the same pace so I feel as though if my kids are lacking in a certain area and they don't get it during the regular school hours then they will just be left behind and will and have been struggling through out this whole school year. With the Teachers help and My help and a little extra it would only help the kids to succeed more. These things need to be addressed for the up coming year.

We have been very pleased with Armstrong Elementary. Not only am I a parent of a current 1st grader, but also a former student. Next year, we will be going from 1/2 day K classes to full-day, doubling the amount of teachers. Also, 27 out of 30, 3rd grade bilingual students tested out of the bilingual classes and into the regular ed for 4th grade. We have a very active PTA, of which I am also a member.

We moved here from another state 10 months ago. So far I am very happy with Armstrong. I make it a point to visit school and the class so I am aware of what is going on. I have found the teachers that we have had to be friendly, helpful, and always available when I have questions. I am upset by the complaints that I have read about Armstrong. It is not fair to compare other schools to Armstrong especially to the Woodlands for various reasons. Private school has the same problems as public (my children were previously in private school)! My children are doing very well and I have no complaints.

My two boys transfered in from another Texas District after the Christmas break. We have not been impressed with the activities. We have been greeted by unfriendly teacher & administrative staff. My youngest in Kindergarten seems to enjoy his class. My 3rd grader (who has not missed a day all year & who makes great grades) is very unhappy. Neither child seems to be experiencing or learning as much as they should. I am very unhappy that we purchased a home in this school district. I have since learned that many parents experience the same. We will be attending private school next year. If you have a choice, please research the local school before purchasing a home. Try and talk to other parents in the area.

Happy to have the new principal this year, and hope we have better guidance and receive more activities and funding for the children and their education. Lets beat out the other elementary schools in the district!! If we all work together, It Can Be Done!! Reach for the Goals.
